Professional Biographies
Daniel J. Kachman Ed. D., Licensed Psychologist
Dr. Daniel J. Kachman is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Michigan. He has worked with children, adolescents, adults, families and couples as an outpatient psychotherapist for thirty-three years. He has also conducted Psychological Custody Evaluations and has served as an expert witness in the Lapeer County Courts regarding matters of Child Custody
Dr. Kachman began practicing with his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Oakland University in 1976. He entered the Counseling Psychology Program at Western Michigan University in 1980 and graduated with his Doctoral Degree in 1987. The academic journal “Adolescence” published his Doctoral Dissertation in the spring of 1990. He began his private practice in 1989 and in 1991; he opened the Lapeer Counseling Center.
Dr. Kachman continues to work with children, adolescents and adults and has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of depression, anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, and marriage and family problems.
John Cheritt, A.C.S.W
John Cheritt, A.C.S.W. is licensed by the state of Michigan as a Macro level Social Worker. John has thirty-two years of experience in working with adults, adolescents, children, couples and families. He has practiced at Lapeer Counseling Center for the past sixteen years.
John received his Master of Social Work degree from Western Michigan University in 1978. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Social Work, in 1972. He was granted the Academy of Certified Social Worker in 1980.
John continues to provide therapy to people of all ages, and works with individual, couples, and families.
